【English Translation】 Jamyang Gonkar Tenpa Gyaltsen's Teachings JTG6: 'Guru Puja: Bestowing Supreme Accomplishments' 'Guru Puja: Bestowing Supreme Accomplishments' Offerings - Purification 'Guru Puja: Bestowing Supreme Accomplishments' Myself and all mother sentient beings, From this time until enlightenment is attained, To the Lama, Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, With unwavering heart, take refuge. To liberate limitless beings from existence, May I attain perfect enlightenment. For that purpose, the path of all Buddhas, May I practice the profound yoga. Unmoved from the expanse, the magical display of wisdom, In the center of the charnel ground's playful palace, In the sky before me, the activity of the Buddhas of three times, The protector, with his retinue, the embodiment of his own activity. Above that, a lion throne, lotus, and, Moon, sun, and hum (藏文：བཾ།，梵文天城體：वं，梵文羅馬擬音：vaṃ，漢語字面意思：種子字) stacked on top. From the root Lama, whose kindness is unequaled, To Vajradhara (金剛持), the master of the four bodies, The root and lineage Lamas who have come in succession, Though unmoved from the expanse of natural great bliss, Manifesting as the wrathful executioner of the obdurate, All are the glorious Mahākāla (大黑天) form, Blazing with unbearable splendor, Completely adorned with ornaments and attire, And with the assembly of messengers emanated from their hearts, Looking upon me with their wisdom eyes, Residing joyfully in a stacked formation. 【English Translation】 To the root and lineage lama who dispels suffering, I pray from the depths of my heart with unwavering faith. Bless my being with your impartial compassion, Abandoning the meaningless activities of this life. Grant the opportunity to practice the conduct of a great Bodhisattva, Perfecting the vows of life and practice, Bless me to attain the essence of leisure and endowment. May all adverse conditions and obstacles, internal, external, and secret, Arising from the deluded appearances of my own mind, Be cleared away like clouds in the sky by the breeze of the lama's blessings and compassion. May all conducive conditions for practicing the sacred Dharma be complete, And may the elixirs of life and body be accomplished, May all the goodness of samsara and nirvana without exception, Be effortlessly and spontaneously gathered. Having abandoned self-cherishing like poison, Through the power of familiarizing myself with the altruistic Bodhicitta, May whatever appears arise as a friend on the path, Bless me to develop unsurpassed pure intention. Seeing the qualified lama as the actual Buddha, May faith in the profound path arise from within, Through the yoga of unscattered meditation like a flowing river, Bless me to attain the ultimate goal in this life. Recognizing the nature of sin and downfall, may they be purified in their own place, May I gather vast accumulations in a single instant. May the opportunity for conceptual thoughts be destroyed by the appearance of purity, Bless me to generate the samadhi of the two stages. The kind lama, the embodiment of all refuge, and The great black deity, the source of all accomplishments. The luminosity of mind itself, indivisible from the duality of grasping and the grasped, Bless me to see these three as inseparable and one. The self-nature of space, the power of the protective circle is complete, The wisdom illusory deity appearance is clear and stable. Through the yoga of profound key points and skillful means, Bless me to accomplish the four activities effortlessly. May the demon of dualistic clinging be slain in the expanse of Dharmadhatu, May the five poisons of affliction be burned by the fire of wisdom, May the harming forces of deluded appearances be liberated by the weapon of compassion. Bless me to be victorious in the battlefield of the four maras. May the pride of the outer three lineages be brought under control, May the inner three lineages be seen as the actual three roots, May the three lineages of meaning manifest as the three kayas. Recite this and perform the Tsok offering. Then, recite 'I take refuge in Buddha Vajradhara,' etc., as in the sadhana, up to the root guru. 【English Translation】 Calamities rage like a storm; driven by karma, I have no freedom. Now, please protect me with your compassion. As the great lama has instructed, whatever joy or sorrow karma brings me, as long as I take refuge in you, the protector, I pray that you save me and my retinue. The yidam deity I have relied on from past lives, the glorious lord of a hundred deities, Vajra Tent (Dorje Gur), the black lama who is the embodiment of all refuges, please guide me until I attain enlightenment. You know the suffering of wretched me. Knowing one, you cherish me like a son. With great compassion, pacify all outer and inner obstacles. I prostrate to you. The untainted nature of mind is not stained by faults, yet I have not seen that the place of refuge resides within myself. Clinging to selflessness as self, I am utterly exhausted. Please pacify the delusion of self-grasping. Seduced by the demons of the five illusory realms, with a mind that seeks pleasure without investigation, I am trapped in the net of clinging to reality. Please sever the bonds of attachment. Anger arises, perceiving its own reflection as an enemy. Towards other beings, who have been my kin since beginningless time, I have become accustomed to malicious and cruel thoughts. Please pacify the burning heat of anger. Seeing the great faults of worldly busyness, abandoning all the activities and fabrications, in the solitary mountain retreats pleasing to the noble ones, please grant me the opportunity to strive in practice. At that time, through the swift and profound samadhi, unshaken by delusion and adverse conditions, having found the warmth of realizing the signs of the path, please enable me to realize the essence of this precious human body. In the instant of remembering that one's own mind is the lama, the peaceful and wrathful deities of the three kayas, realizing that they are inseparable from myself, please transform my mind into oneness with the lama's mind. May my being be rich with the wealth of learning, contemplation, and meditation, may the four means of gathering flourish in the work of benefiting others, may the feast of benefit and happiness dawn as the glory of taming beings, Please grant that both self and other's benefit reach ultimate perfection. May all sentient beings, beginning with myself and my parents, who are connected to me, be not abandoned by your compassion, protector, and may you save us from all the fears of samsara and nirvana. This prayer was written by Lodrö Shenphen Dawa (blo gros gzhan phan zla ba) in the Sala forest, lush with good trees, near the auspicious Ltem, at the center of Slas near the river flowing to the right, on the fourteenth waxing day of the first month of the Sheep year, the festival of the gathering of dakinis, the day when Gyal and Phurba converge.
