【English Translation】 Collected Teachings of Ngawang Kunga Sonam ANK140: Identification of the Thirteen Caves of Mugulung. Identification of the Thirteen Caves of Mugulung. Identification of the Thirteen Caves of Mugulung. Namo Guru Buddha Dhvaja Ye. Om Swasti Siddhi. The venerable Drogmi Lotsawa himself propagated the profound teachings such as the Lamdre, placing many sentient beings in the state of maturation and liberation. This supreme sacred place is called Mugulung. When Je Gayadhara was residing in the Lhatse cave, he repeatedly heard the sound 'Mukti' coming from the pure water. When he investigated the source of the sound, he realized it was coming from the water of Mugulung, and he was amazed, which led to the auspicious connection of meeting Drogmi. 'Mukti' means 'complete liberation'. This secret mantra place is particularly special, and the sound prophesied Gayadhara, hence the name Mugulung. The actual practice place has thirteen wonderful great caves. Initially, when the master and disciples were giving the Lamdre teachings, to examine the auspicious connections, the first was Je Gayadhara's meditation chamber, Karma Cave; the second was below it, Je Drogmi's meditation cave, called Blissful Clarity Non-Thought Cave; the third was the place where the secret lord Chagna Dorje (藏文：ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ།，梵文天城體：वज्रपाणि，梵文羅馬擬音：Vajrapani，漢語字面意思：Vajrapani) personally appeared to Drogmi and blessed him as the master of secret mantras, Chagna Dorje Cave. The fourth was the sacred place where the master Powa Dorje came from India riding on sunbeams, stayed there for three years, and composed 'The Blazing Jewel', Powa Dorje Cave; the fifth was Namsé Treasury Cave; the sixth was the Consort Gyulam Cave; the seventh was the Changra Amrita Cave; the eighth was the Kitchen Nagtsang Cave; the ninth was the place where many kings of tantras such as Gurtak Sangsum, and countless pure treatises were translated, namely the Translator Lotsawa Cave; the tenth was the sacred place where Panchen Gayadhara and Drogmi Lotsawa jointly presided over all the main rituals of the secret mantra's special ripening initiations, and fully bestowed the four initiations, namely the Empowerment Blessing Cave, which is considered the most supreme of all the caves. The eleventh is the place where teachings and discussions were held to guide fortunate disciples to maturation and liberation through tantras and instructions, namely the Dharma Sound Proclamation Cave; the twelfth is the Dakini Delightful Garden Cave; the thirteenth is the Mahamudra Tashi Cave, also known as the Upa Drodo Cave. The above is the identification of the thirteen caves. As Jamyang Salo said, it was written by the great Sakyapa holder of mantras, Ngawang Kunga Sonam.

Later, Ngagwang Kunga Sonam, a Sakya mantra holder, proofread the text that had become chaotic due to errors in the interim. Auspicious!
