Homage to the Lama and Glorious Black Vajra! You are the Glorious Black Protector who controls the three realms (Tibetan: སྲིད་གསུམ་, referring to the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm), An emanation of the wisdom of the Buddhas of the past, present, and future, Residing in the charnel ground of the roaring Haha (Tibetan: ཧ་ཧ་) in the northeast, The mind-son of the great powerful lord who protects the land. With a deep black body, four faces with bared fangs, A body like a child, yet with great power, threatening life. Ringing the bell, making sounds, wearing a wrathful mala, Having many names, moving swiftly. The first right hand brandishes a burning curved knife, The first left hand drinks a stream of blood from a skull cup. The lower right hand chops enemies and obstacles into pieces with a sword, The lower left hand hooks the wisdom of great bliss with a mala. Sometimes holding a vase filled with nectar, Sometimes holding a vajra and a sharp short spear. Granting supreme accomplishments to practitioners, Quickly severing the life force of enemies who break their vows. Adorned with six ornaments (Tibetan: རྒྱན་དྲུག་), wearing a beautiful garland of human heads, With a lower garment of tiger skin. Standing on various lotuses and suns with extending and contracting dances, Residing in the midst of the blazing expanse like the fire of the end of time. You are an immeasurable emanation of various forms, Residing in the cool places of mountains, islands, and snow mountains, In the terrifying charnel ground of fierce roars, Emitting Haha (Tibetan: ཧ་ཧ་), Hum Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་) laughter, The sound of Kshim Kshim (Tibetan: ཀྵིཾ་ཀྵིཾ) from underground, like thunder. You are the Dark Night Goddess who protects the ten directions, Together with the Great Wrathful Mother (Tibetan: ཡུམ་ཆེན་འཇིགས་གཟུགས་), the retinue of Dakinis, Who please you with four activities, And the retinue of the Eight Classes of Gods (Tibetan: སྡེ་བརྒྱད་) and arrogant ones who protect the land. Also, the oath-holders, emanations, and re-emanations of the protectors, Please remember your past vows, Come here and joyfully partake of these substances of oath. The flesh and blood of enemies and obstacles, nectar, and five iron hooks (Tibetan: ལྕགས་ཀྱུ་ལྔ), Jambudvipa fruit (Tibetan: ཛམྦུ་ཏི་བ་), various human bones, Old flowers and various foods, And offerings of medicine and the essence of blood. Delicious food and drinks, abundant oil, and the scent of incense, Using blood as argham (Tibetan: ཨརྒྷཾ), black flowers, And thick butter lamps and the scent of oil. Please cherish me and gladly accept these offerings, Enjoy, taste, and be satisfied. Having accepted as I have offered, Do not forget your former vows, As promised before Vajradhara, Quickly accomplish the task of protecting the Dharma. For us yogis and our retinue, And the enemies and obstacles with malice and hatred, As well as the demons who obstruct the path, May their power, authority, freedom, and magical abilities decline. Please kill, expel, separate, confuse, bind their speech and mind, Burn their bodies and offer their flesh and blood for your enjoyment. Whatever Dharma holders like us, Please remember and accomplish the entrusted tasks, Grant the accomplishments of the four activities, And fulfill all wishes according to the Dharma.
