【English Translation】 《A Prayer for Longevity: Bestowing Glory on the Doctrine and Beings》 Homage to Manjushri (འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས་) and the lord of the teachings of the Land of Snows (གངས་ཅན་), whose name, Sakya (ས་སྐྱ་), shines brightly. You are the sole father of the Victorious Ones (རྒྱལ་བ), the lifeline of the teachings. May you remain steadfast for hundreds of kalpas, and may the Dharma and political power flourish! The speech-master (ངག་དབང་) is like a deity, with a body adorned with excellent marks. Amidst the wisdom of Kunga (ཀུན་དགའ), the source of a billion merits (བསོད་ནམས). The victory banner of pure fame is manifestly high. You are the one with the virtuous deeds of glorious activity. I pray that you, the supreme holder of the Victorious Ones' teachings, remain steadfast! Especially you are the chief of the teachings, like Thubwang (ཐུབ་དབང་, Shakyamuni Buddha). Like the Omniscient One (ཀུན་མཁྱེན), you proclaim the profound Dharma without equal. In order to spread the teachings and the holders of the teachings of the Second Victorious One (རྒྱལ་བ་གཉིས་པ་) – the glorious Sakyapa – in all directions. May the mantra-holding lama (སྔགས་འཆང་བླ་མ་) remain steadfast for hundreds of kalpas! Thus, the Sakyapa, whose kindness is unparalleled, the mantra-holding lama with the name Kunga (ཀུན་དགའ). Upon the crown of the heads of beings to be tamed, such as myself. May you remain steadfast for hundreds of kalpas, turning the wheel of Dharma, And may you always protect us with a joyful demeanor! With these verses, I pray that the supreme mantra-holding lama, the crown ornament of the three realms (སྲིད་གསུམ) of beings and gods, the all-knowing one, may remain steadfast in this realm for hundreds of kalpas, with his golden wheels of feet firmly seated on the great vajra throne, and may he always protect the assemblies of beings to be tamed, such as myself, with great compassion, turning the great wheel of Dharma well in this realm, May the flourishing of the teachings and the holders of the teachings become the cause of all happiness and well-being for beings. May activity increase, may virtue and goodness increase! Sarva Mangalam (སརྦ་མངྒ་ལཾ།)! Whose body is the essence of the three vajras. Whose speech proclaims the profound and vast Dharma sound without equal. Whose mind abides in the state of bliss and emptiness, uncontaminated suchness. I prostrate to the lama who is the embodiment of all refuges. You are the actual embodiment of Vajradhara (རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་) and all places of refuge. I constantly offer to the root lama, the one with the name Kunga (ཀུན་དགའ), a sea of clouds of offerings of the collections of virtue of myself and others, body, life, possessions, and the three times. From now until all lifetimes. May I never be separated from you, the lama without equal. Having liberated my being with the profound nectar of your speech. May all sentient beings travel to the Pure Land of Sukhavati! This is a spontaneous prayer. The intention of Khenchen Aped Rinpoche.
