【English Translation】 The History of the New Composition of the Repayment Ritual for Tsarchen's Putra. This is about how my (the author's) Lama, the venerable Kunga Sonam Drakpa Gyaltsen, was suddenly harmed by a Ko Cag pa who had broken his vows. At that time, I thought to myself that I had the instructions taught by the Lama to be able to invoke Putra, and that I had the ability to recite mantras. Since the perpetrator was an enemy of the Lama, and the power of the ten directions of Buddhas was gathered, I thought, 'Isn't this an opportunity?' So, in thirty-three places at the foot of Black Rock, like Chos Rje Ngorpa's 'Victory Over the Enemy,' I arranged offerings on top of torma and blood wine, and in the manner of a Brahmin's prayer, manifested as the Lord of Death, performing wrathful actions, and said, 'You don't even offer me words of repayment, supplication, and praise!' Thus, I subdued him and brought him back. I, Putra, clearly wrote this down on the eighth day. Those who uphold the pure lineage of the Sakya family and have vowed to protect and guard, can learn about the entrustment ritual of Putra and the whispered teachings from the 'Secret Instructions.' The secret practitioners, the four doorkeepers, gave instructions in secret. If anyone practices according to this, they will surely eliminate obstacles. Words are like an empty house, without certainty, like guests in an empty room. Words cease, like a garden adorned with gold and turquoise. If there is no object of meditation, thoughts will gallop like wild horses. Mangalam! Samaya, seal! Must be kept very secret!
