The practice of the old style annual ritual is as follows: In a clean container such as a copper katora, create a Mount Meru out of tsampa, forming a four-tiered structure: white in the east, blue in the south, red in the west, and yellow in the north, or you can leave the colors unchanged. At the top of Mount Meru, place an enlightened Tsakli (drawing or image) of Rahu (planet deity), and place a torma (food offering) on each of the four sides.
