【English Translation】 At the time of stillness, I prostrate to the complete speech conduct of Manjushri Wisdom Warrior. The Suchness of all dharmas, made clear by the path of the Four Joys, the union of bliss and emptiness manifest, I prostrate to the mind possessing the Five Wisdoms. Making all the wise ones rejoice, a treasure of scriptural and realized qualities, spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, I prostrate to the all-knowing, all-seeing one. Whatever good deeds bring joy to all beings, until the end of samsara, manifesting through the play of wisdom, I prostrate to you. This was written by the Shakya monk Ngak Lek. May there be auspiciousness! Praise to the Three Jewels Great Master, all-knowing Lord of Dharma, holding the banner of pure morality, victorious in all directions, benefiting all beings, I pray to the three holy Khenpos and Acharyas. This is said to be composed by Ngakwang Lekpa. In the vast expanse of loving-kindness, in the midst of the waters of compassion, the nectar of bodhicitta freely blooms, possessing the glory of white lotus flowers of pure intention, I pray to the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama. Having trained the mind with the stages of the common path, entering the path of the great secret Vajrayana, body, speech, and mind are inseparable from the three vajras, I pray to the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama. Initially, you made the great vow of bodhicitta, in the middle, you studied expertly all that is to be known, finally, you saw the reality of all dharmas, I pray to the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama. When teaching, like the voice of Brahma, it is extremely pleasant to hear; when debating, like a rain of vajras, it destroys opponents; when writing, like a string of jewels, it captivates the mind, at the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama (I pray). Like Nagarjuna and Dharmakirti of Mapam Yumtso, for the profound essence of the lotus of scriptures, truly revealing, possessing a thousand rays of wisdom, at the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama (I pray). Having completely purified all conceptualizations with the samadhi of the four joys, through diligent practice, transforming various afflictions into stainless great wisdom, at the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama (I pray). For the meaning of the inconceivable ocean of secrets, with just a glimpse of your wisdom, revealing and properly instructing, at the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama (I pray). At the time of revealing the profound meaning of the sutras, the white-sided deities, with respectful miracles, cause limitless beings to generate faith, at the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama (I pray). In the sky, a captivating rainbow appears, and on the earth, a great rain of white flowers falls, offering various incenses and music, at the feet of the Dharma Lord Lama (I pray). Manjushri Protector, Lama Dharma Lord Rinpoche, benefiting all beings, whose wisdom is inconceivable, a master of all scriptures, in all times and places, I take refuge in you! Please, Supreme Guide, by the power of our fervent prayers, may I and all beings as limitless as space, obtain the source of perfect, precious scriptures, the ocean of wisdom, please grant your blessings! From now until the essence of enlightenment, may I respectfully attend to your lotus feet, constantly savor your nectar-like words, please quickly take care of me with great compassion! Especially, may the Sangha community flourish, may all Sangha members be harmonious, abide in the splendor of discipline, spend their time in the activities of hearing, thinking, and meditating, and may the wealth of Dharma increase greatly! By the truth of the Three Jewels of Refuge, and by the aspiration and pure prayers of Manjushri Lama Kunga Yeshe, may all the wishes of this prayer be fulfilled! Having unwavering faith in this great Dharma Lord, the Shakya monk Ngawang Legpa wrote and prayed, may it be accomplished! When I also reach the time of death, may the Manjushri Protector, the Lama who is a master of all scriptures, lead me to the Pure Land of Bliss, and may I see the holy face of Amitabha! 【English Translation】 In the secluded forest, mastering the meaning of the profound oral instructions, unequaled in expounding the vast array of excellent teachings, I prostrate to the master, the lord of scholars. I prostrate to the supreme heart-son of the glorious Sakya's Manjushri Khuwon, Katon Shakya Drak, who at this time arises as the embodiment of Vajradhara, Gaton Ngawang Lekpa. In order to spread the precious teachings of the venerable Sakya, the very embodiment of Manjushri, in all directions, holding the banner of monasticism, I prostrate to the all-pervading Jamyang Gyaltsen. The master of scholars who has reached the end of the ocean of scriptures, the supreme of monks with pure renunciation and discipline, the foremost of virtuous friends possessing the mind of enlightenment, I prostrate to Lama Gendun Zangpo. Skilled in the essential points of the view beyond elaboration and intellect, completely perfecting the qualities of the great secret path, attaining the rainbow body of Vajra, I prostrate to Jowo Jamyang Gyaltsen. The second Maitreya, the lord of vast Dharma, Kunga Yeshe, who illuminates the teachings, the master of wisdom, love, and power, the protector of beings, I supplicate Kunga Tenpai Nyima. Through such unwavering faith and supplication, may I and all limitless sentient beings, at this time, have long life, be free from illness, increase in glory and wealth, and always engage in virtue, grant your blessings. When the illusions of this life fade away, may we be born in the supreme pure land of Sukhavati, quickly attain the unsurpassed perfect Buddhahood, and accomplish the great purpose of benefiting beings as vast as space. This 'Supplication to the Root and Lineage Lamas for Blessings' was written by the Sakya monk Ngawang Lekpa in a clear and easily understandable manner, without the obscurations of rhetoric and metaphors. 【English Translation】 With the boundless good deeds of the four collections, increasing the joyous feast of benefit and happiness, I bow to your feet. Thus, through the power of single-minded and respectful supplication, may the stainless Shakya's teachings flourish in the ten directions, may the lotus feet of the holders of the teachings remain firm, and may virtuous activities increase greatly. In all places, may all epidemics, famines, wars, and so on, all the evil omens of the degenerate age be pacified, may all beings enjoy the glory of the ten virtues, and may the happiness and prosperity of a new golden age increase. Especially from now until enlightenment, may you, the protector, never abandon and always hold us, may the stages of hearing, thinking, and meditating be completely perfected, and may we quickly attain the state of omniscience.
